THE FRIDAY DROP IN/SUPPORT GROUP

The WAST management group run a weekly support /self help group for any woman asylum seeker, who can then become a member of WAST.

The group share experiences and support one another in a safe, secure environment. Women exchange information and ideas especially around setting up anti deportation campaigns and we offer one another friendship and empowerment in the face of the asylum system which makes women isolated, frightened, destitute and powerless.

Come along to the support group!

MEMBERSHIP

Women who come to the support group can become members and get involved in WAST Choir, WAST workshops, and other WAST activities and have further access to advice and information in the week at the WAST office. Also support to set up your own anti-deportation campaign and opportunities to get on training and development courses.

MANAGEMENT GROUP

WAST Management group( made up of 8 elected WAST members) run the WAST office. If you or a women asylum seeker you know wants to meet them or use facilities in the WAST office ring the office on 0161 833 8835 or e-mail us at wastmanchester@yahoo.co.uk to arrange a time to come in.
